Iran’s gasoline output to rise by 4m liter yearend: deputy minister

With gasoline production unit of Bandar Abbas Refinery and also, isomerization unit of Isfahan Refinery coming on stream, Iran’s gasoline production capacity sees a 4-million liter boost by the end of the current Iranian calendar year (started on March 23), the SHANA quoted Abbas Kazemi, deputy oil minister, as saying on Friday.
Kazemi put the country’s daily gasoline deficit and overall gasoline output at 10 and 66 million liters, respectively, expressing hope that with the operationalization of the two aforementioned projects the country’s daily gasoline deficit is reduced to 6 million liters.
Also, according to the deputy minister, the launch of gasoline production unit of Persian Gulf Star Refinery not only helps Iran meets its domestic needs but also turns the country into a gasoline exporter.
Kazemi further provided some statistics, noting that current daily gasoline import of the country and its gasoline reserve stand at 6 million liters and more than 1 billion liters, respectively.
